Villa close to agreeing deal with Toffees to sign Onana as central midfielder

The ยูฟ่าเบท reports that Aston Villa are close to reaching an agreement. With Everton to sign Amadou Onana to bolster their midfield.

The Belgian is expected to cost around £50million and Villa have already agreed personal terms with Onana.

Onana is a key target for Unai Emery as he looks to bolster his squad for next season’s Champions League. And the player is interested in working with the Spanish manager. Everton are aware

that midfielders of Onana’s stature have cost around £60-70million in recent years. And they are hoping to get somewhere close to that figure.

Onana is an important player for “The Toffees” have made 72 appearances since moving from Lille for an initial fee of £30million in 2022.

He will be a like-for-like replacement for Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz. Who recently completed a high-profile move to Serie A giants Juventus.

Villa have already added fresh recruits to their midfield ranks. Signing Enzo Barrenechea from Juventus and Ross Barkley from Luton Town, but Onana will provide further reinforcement for Unai Emery’s side.

The French side have also agreed a 20 per cent cut of the profits Everton make when selling Onana.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United have all been link with Onana, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also keen on him. Villa have already

added two midfielders to their squad this summer, with Enzo Barrenecia and Ross Barkley joining the side, while they have also let Tim Irokbunam and Douglas Luiz leave.
